At Agilaflex Clinic we employ two main massage techniques:

Therapeutic Massage
This light massage style uses a variety of long, smooth massage strokes on the superficial layers of muscles to help relieve aches and tension that may be related to your back, neck or joint pain or exacerbated by stress. It can also improve circulation and aid flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a set of techniques used to relieve the tension found in the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue in the body. These methods use the hands, knuckles, and elbows to allow the clinician to apply more pressure on the problem areas in the body.  This method can be very effective at reducing long-held tensions and helping with injury rehabilitation. Regular deep tissue massage can help prevent injuries caused by the overuse of muscles. An experienced massage therapist is also able to detect muscular variations and use corrective techniques that can help you maintain optimal physical health.

Where massage is recommended in conjunction with your chiropractic, osteopathy or physiotherapy treatment, your clinicians will work together with you to ensure that your massage is tailored to complement your on-going treatment, and it often forms part of the recovery process.
