Neck pain can badly interfere with your daily activities. It’s only when we have a problem with our neck that we realise how much we need to use it – doing things we usually take for granted such as driving, lying down, getting up and working on the computer can all become painfully difficult, or even impossible.
Perhaps you suffer from a loss of neck movement, stiffness and aching, sharp pain with sudden movements, headaches, shoulder blade or shoulder pain from the neck. Whatever the nature or cause of your neck condition, we can help you by resolving pain, relieving muscular tension and restoring your range of movement.
Your initial assessment will be carried out by one of our qualified clinicians, who will conduct a thorough physical examination and gain a confidential understanding of your full medical history. This allows us to assess your state of health and any possible causes of your neck pain. This examination may be complemented with an on-site X-ray examination, if deemed necessary.
Chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists have an in-depth knowledge of these areas and are the best equipped professionals to diagnose, treat and manage all non-surgical issues associated with the neck.
Depending on your diagnosis, your clinician will then mobilise your joints, work on your muscles and may manipulate the spine and other joints in a precise yet gentle way to improve movement, relieve pain and reduce nerve irritation and muscle spasms. See our approach.
