"I also have the wedding of the century, my daughters, and she so wants me to be a glamorous Mum. Which is difficult if you are bent, limping and in flatties. Thanks to your help I feel much more confident that I will be standing tall in my high heels."

"My progressive back pain got to a state when I could barely think. Your exercises are strengthening my back and increasing flexibility. I didn't realise that chiropractors did so much muscle work and had not anticipated that you would build up an exercise routine specifically for me. I now have a method of self-management for life which motivates me. I always feel better when I have done them and I have no pain, just a slight niggle sometimes which I am confident will go in time. The often repeated 'use it or lose it' is not quite true because I am improving. I no longer limp and I don't ache when I get into bed taking ages to settle.

I have my little camper van and when it is all closed down you need to be quite flexible to move around it, so I am more able in the van and look forward to using it for years to come. I also have the wedding of the century, my daughters, and she so wants me to be a glamorous Mum. Which is difficult if you are bent, limping and in flatties. So I feel much more confident that by November I will be standing tall in my high heels.

A sore back really shuts down your expectations of life and prevents concentration and it is such a shame to accept limitations just because you are getting old. There were evenings during the Olympics when I said to myself, 'Get out of this chair and do the exercises now!' The other joy of an exercise regime is that it is treating the cause and not just a pain killer with side effects.

I know I was fearful when I came that the cost might get out of hand as I do not have insurance, but your six sessions for a standard price keeps this aspect in check."

"Backache for 4-6 weeks that then progressed into a prolapsed disc."

How was this impacting on your day to day life?

"The backache was irritating, but relieved on a weekly basis by Agilaflex, the prolapsed disc was astoundingly painful and I was laid up in bed for 6 days."

What were your initial thoughts before coming to the clinic?

"I have used the services of Agilaflex for years and years and soon as I have an issue with my back I know the sooner I can get to the clinic the sooner I will start to feel better."

How did the Agilaflex team help you regain your freedom of movement?

"I had a number of visit once the initial pain had subsided and the service was superb, at times I had the services of both Ron and Kari to consult on the issues that I had, their attention to my problems was great and I had phone calls to check on progress and a great deal of concern shown. I felt very well cared for and understood by the team including the ladies on the front desk."

What did you especially like about the Agilaflex service?

"It felt very personal and genuinely caring, Whilst the disc was prolapsing I was in a lot of pain and unsure what was happening to and the time taken to deliver the explanation over the phone ( I couldn't move) really set my mind at rest."

Now that you can move freely again - what have you been up to?

"My back problem was at the end of November, in mid-December I was concerned that I would never ski again as I could hardly work. Today is the 31st of January and I have just returned from a week's pain free skiing in Austria."

"Many thanks to the team and my strongest recommendation to anyone who has back pain to visit Agilaflex, don't suffer with the pain it can be made to go away."

Heather

Tell us about the problem you were suffering with?

"I had been having pain in my hip, back, neck and shoulder for years"

How was this impacting on your day to day life?

"Constant, ongoing pain can really get you down as just moving around doing daily things such as driving is painful."

What were your initial thoughts before coming to the clinic?

"I had previously been to an Oestopath who provided little pain relieve and no help as to how I could manage the problem. I mustve been a patient there for about 7 or 8 years! When I saw Agilaflex's website, I felt immediately that they had a much better approach with numerous professionals working as a team to provide your treatment.

How did the Agilaflex team help you regain your freedom of movement?

And that is exactly what they did. You are given the chance to update them at the start of every session with how you have been getting on, then they discuss with you what they think is needed/how long for etc. This was a relief compared to the endless appointment after appointment with no end in sight that I had experienced previously.

I was given exercises to do that release any pain I may feel, and by doing it in your appointment you realise there and then that you can take control!

Agilaflex really take your individual needs into account and offer support all the time so you can always ask if you are unsure or uncomfortable about something.

Their multi-disciplined approach is certainly very effective and the friendly, professional staff make it a pleasure to go their despite being in pain!"
